Apple said her first completely solo prayer yesterday morning at breakfast. She always makes references to eating bugs in her prayers since three weeks ago when Strawberry's class got a new frog and she prayed that the frog would eat its bugs and get healthy. Apple thought that was very awesome. I love that she is so eager to pray by herself. She doesn't like us to help anymore except when she gets stuck on hank dee and doesn't remember how to end her prayer. Toddlers are so cute!

Strawberry's latest cute moment was on Monday when she was in charge of FHE. Holy smokes--give that girl a little authority and she becomes a tyrant. She was very determined to make it the best FHE ever. She picked the scripture (page 9, ummmmm, that one), who said the prayer (eenie-meenie-miney-moe), and even wrote the opening song herself (it was about love and very beautiful). Her self-assigned topic was love. The lesson consisted of three pictures of hearts and how they were different colors. Then she had us draw a picture of hearts with grass on the bottom of the page, but we couldn't do it the same color as her. "This color mommy; no, this one." Then we put all our pictures on the FHE wall and had ice cream for dessert. She did an awesome job with no direction whatsoever from mom and dad.

So cute! The thing at our house right now is fighting over who gets to say the prayer. It must be FAIR. Can you believe our kids are getting so big???
We fight over who says the prayer too, only in the really unrighteous, immature way. Lana's FHE sounds fabulous!! And I LOVED Katelynn's prayer! Adorable!!
