Big Girl Bed

Mango finally grew out of her crib.  :(  It was a mini crib so she actually grew out of it a while ago, but she is such a good sleeper and even at nap time would just curl up into a little ball and sleep peacefully for 2 or 3 hours.  I didn't want to mess with a good thing, you know?  But we realized that she is a lot older than her sisters were when they got big girl bed so it was time (Strawberry was only 18 months--she had learned how to climb up and over the railing and we were afraid she would break something).  We figured Ikea would be pretty empty since they didn't have any Black Friday deals going so we headed down there and found the cutest little toddler bed that actually extends to twin size as they grow.  It was perfect.  Mango has a terrible sense of balance and I was afraid that she would be falling out of bed all the time so this was perfect since it had lots of railing and was close to the ground.

She transitioned perfectly.  She got up a couple of time to give Apple hugs and kisses, but those two usually talk for a while after we put them to bed anyway.  She always climbed back into bed and after looking at a book or two she fell asleep.  Amazing.  The transition with Strawberry was a completely nightmare and Apple still had a bit of a struggle.  But that probably has to do with how much older Mango is.  She looks much happier now with plenty of room for Boo, Rawr, Baby, Ava, Monkey, and lots of books.  So fun.
