The past couple of days, I noticed something weird about Mango. I couldn't put my finger on it, but yesterday I realized she had stopped calling me "mama" and started calling me "mommy." And I'm not sure why, but it made me really sad. It doesn't mean anything. The other girls have used "mom" "mama" and "mommy" pretty interchangeably. I'm still the center of her universe (when Luke is at work, at least). I'll adjust because it is still her sweet voice and her big blue eyes looking at me with so much love and trust. But it is a loss somehow and I miss hearing her say my name.
