I Belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

Strawberry turned 8 in September and decided that she wanted to be baptized last Saturday.  We were very proud of her.  She took it very seriously and had prayed about it and asked lots of questions.  We had a lot of lessons about what it entailed and she understood everything really well.  She seemed as prepared as she could be and was excited about making this choice.

The seriousness lasted until she got into the little jumpsuit.  She thought it was so goofy looking and didn't want any of her friends to see her.  She'd keep hiding behind things.  I she was supposed to come to the front of the room so I could introduce her and tell a little bit about her and she ducked down behind where no one could see her.  Silly girl.  Two other children were getting baptized, and one was from our previous ward (we got reassigned recently) so it was cool to be able to be there with them as well.

Strawberry picked Luke's tie so they would match.  So cute.  It was a wonderful experience for our oldest child to be baptized.  It was a little weird because we really don't know the bishop very well at all and had never even met the other leaders before.  Strawberry's best friend was able to come with her family though and all of the leaders were very sweet and encouraging of her.  I hope that this is a memory that she will be able to keep with her always.

We loved the pretty red dress and your dad's red tie too.
