We played Yahtzee tonight for the first time as a family in years. Apple, who has never played before, smashed us with a score of 308. The girl was throwing all fives and sixes. Her last line to fill in was 1's. Strawberry came in a crazy close second with 307. She started out weaker but came on really strong at the end. I rolled a Yahtzee on my very first roll of my very first turn, but ended up with just 292. Luke just couldn't get the numbers, and though he had a good last couple of turns, lost with 228. In the whole game, there was only one fudge in the rules when someone got to throw an extra dice just to see if it would come up. Not bad for beginners. We're planning to take the girls to Vegas in early January to see if the luck holds. ;)
