Goodbye Again

Luke left again this morning for more training.  He'll be gone for three weeks this time, but we don't get to have much contact with him this time.  :(  The last two weeks went by very very quickly.  I have a couple of pictures of him in Mississippi.  He didn't take a camera and these were taken by other random people so there aren't many to show you.  Sorry.  He's doing okay with his new job.  He came in at a really crazy time as everyone was getting ready for this exercise they are doing.  From what I've heard from the other wives, this is a lot harder and more exhausting than what he did in Mississippi.  And taking care of a new baby alone is a lot harder and more exhausting than being pregnant alone.  Ooohhh, don't you feel sorry for poor us?

The first picture is Luke's hot makeover.  Too bad he didn't still have it on when he got home.  Very foxy.  The second picture is the group of which he was the commander.  He is in the front kneeling down 4th from the right.  He had to be careful to remember not to call the newer enlisted guys "kids".  18 is a lot younger than it used to be.  It's weird to see him toting a machine gun around.  The closest thing we've ever had to a firearm in our home is a wiffle-ball bat.  Just kidding.  We've had two squirt guns.  He wears the green camoflauge (how do you spell that?) outfit to work now which is way more GI Joe than the khaki uniform he has always worn before.  I guess were are really getting the military experience now.  Deployments, living on the base, pictures of Luke with guns, body armor in the closet.  It is all very strange.

That is some facial treatment Luke is getting! What is it made out of? I hope you are not trying to do too much and are getting rest when you can. Mango looks a lot like Lana did when she was a baby, it seems to me. She looks so cute with her eyes open. What a tiny mouth!

What a handsome guy you are married to!! I think he bares a striking resemblance to his father when he would come home from a long day of teaching 4th grade on Halloween!
If you need any help while he is gone feel free to give us a call and we will try to work you in and come down. We work cheap!!!
